AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS MARKETING ACTSaskatchewan Hog OrderOrder Granting Authority to Regulate the Marketing in Interprovincial and Export Trade of Hogs Produced in SaskatchewanShort TitleThis Order may be cited as the Saskatchewan Hog Order.InterpretationIn this Order,Act means The Agri-Food Act of Saskatchewan; (Loi)Agency means SPI Marketing Group; (Agence)Commission[Repealed, SOR/95-557, s. 1]hog means any member of the species Sus Scrofa L. (domestic pig) produced in the Province of Saskatchewan; (porc)Plan means any plan for the marketing of hogs established and amended from time to time pursuant to the Act. (Plan) SOR/95-557, s. 1Interprovincial and Export TradeThe Agency is authorized to regulate the marketing of hogs in interprovincial and export trade and for such purposes may, with respect to persons and property situated within the Province of Saskatchewan, exercise all or any powers like the powers exercisable by it in relation to the marketing of hogs locally within that Province under the Act and the Plan.SOR/95-557, s. 2LeviesThe Agency is authorized,[Repealed, SOR/80-90]in relation to the powers granted to it by section 3 with respect to the marketing of hogs in interprovincial and export trade,to make orders fixing, imposing and collecting levies or charges from persons situated within the Province of Saskatchewan who are engaged in the production or marketing of hogs and for such purpose classifying such persons into groups and fixing levies or charges payable by the members of the different groups in different amounts, and the Agency may use such levies or charges for its purposes, including the creation of reserves, the payment of expenses and losses resulting from the sale or disposal of hogs and the equalization or adjustment among producers of hogs of moneys realized from the sale thereof during such period or periods of time as it may determine.SOR/80-90; SOR/95-557, s. 2
