Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 2(a)a of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, hereby transfersS.C. 2003, c. 22, s. 207from the Department of Human Resources Development to the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency the control and supervision of the portions of the federal public administration in the Department of Human Resources Development known asNational Collection Services, andCollections Litigation and Advisory Services,from the Minister of State styled Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development and Minister responsible for Democratic Renewal to the Minister of National Revenue the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of State styled Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development and Minister responsible for Democratic Renewal relating to the collection of debts due toHer Majesty in right of Canada underthe Canada Education Savings Act and any regulations made under that Act, andthe Canada Student Loans Act, the Canada Student Financial Assistance Act and any regulations made under those Acts, if the debts are not being collected by a service provider referred to in the Canada Student Financial Assistance Act, andHer Majesty in right of a Province underthe Canada Education Savings Act, andthe Canada Student Financial Assistance Act, if the debts are not being collected by a service provider referred to in that Act, andfrom the Minister of Human Resources Development styled Minister of Social Development to the Minister of National Revenue the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Human Resources Development styled Minister of Social Development relating to the collection of debts due to Her Majesty in right of Canada under the following Acts:the Canada Pension Plan other than subsections 66(2.1) and (3) and section 107 of that Act, andthe Old Age Security Act other than subsections 37(2.1) and (4) and section 40 of that Act,effective at 00:00:02, August 1, 2005.
