AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS MARKETING ACT

Order Granting Authority to Regulate the Marketing in Interprovincial and Export Trade of Maple Sugar and Syrup Produced in Quebec-South

Short Title

 This Order may be cited as the Quebec-South Maple Products Order.

Interpretation

 In this Order,

Commodity Board

Commodity Board means the Quebec-South Maple Products Producers’ Marketing Board constituted under the Plan; (Office de commercialisation)

maple sugar and syrup

maple sugar and syrup means maple sugar and maple syrup produced on the farms of producers bound by the Plan, selling their products to non-cooperative trades and located in the counties and parishes of the Province of Quebec as set out in the schedule; (sucre et sirop d’érable)

Plan

Plan means the Quebec-South Maple Products Producers’ Plan sanctioned and declared in force by the Quebec Agricultural Marketing Board, as published in the Quebec Gazette of March 22, 1958, pursuant to the Agricultural Marketing Act of Quebec. (Plan)

Interprovincial and Export Trade

 The Commodity Board is authorized to regulate the marketing of maple sugar and syrup in interprovincial and export trade and for such purposes may, with respect to persons and property situated within the Province of Quebec, exercise all or any powers like the powers exercisable by it in relation to the marketing of maple sugar and syrup locally within the Province under chapter “Powers and attributions” of the Plan, excepting the powers exercisable under paragraphs (j), (p) and (q) of subsection “And particularly” of the said chapter of the Plan.
