Sale of the Digby Fisherman’s Wharf Remission Order

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, considering that it is in the public interest to do so, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and the Treasury Board, pursuant to subsection 23(2.1)Footnote a of the Financial Administration ActFootnote b, hereby makes the annexed Sale of the Digby Fisherman’s Wharf Remission Order.

Remission

 Remission is granted to the Maritime Harbours Society in respect of a debt owed to Her Majesty in the amount of $480,500 arising out of an agreement signed on October 21, 1999 in accordance with the Port Divestiture Program.

Condition

 The remission is granted on the condition that the Maritime Harbours Society provides Her Majesty, represented by the Minister of Transport, with evidence of the sale of the Digby Fisherman’s Wharf to the Digby Harbour Port Association.
