AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS MARKETING ACTQuebec Turkey OrderOrder Granting Authority to Regulate the Marketing in Interprovincial and Export Trade of Turkeys Produced in QuebecShort TitleThis Order may be cited as the Quebec Turkey Order.InterpretationIn this Order,Act means the Farm Products Marketing Act of Quebec; (Loi)Board means the Quebec Agricultural Marketing Board established pursuant to the Act; (Régie)Commodity Board means the Fédération des producteurs de volailles du Québec established pursuant to the Act; (Office de commercialisation)turkey means a turkey produced or grown in the Province of Quebec for the purpose of slaughter. (dindon)Interprovincial and Export TradeThe Board and the Commodity Board are each authorized to regulate the marketing of turkeys in interprovincial and export trade and for such purposes may, by order, with respect to persons and property situated within the Province of Quebec, exercise all or any powers like the powers exercisable by each of them in relation to the marketing of turkeys locally within that Province under sections 109 to 112 of the Act.LeviesThe Commodity Board is authorized,[Revoked, SOR/80-90]in relation to the powers granted to it by section 3 with respect to the marketing of turkeys in interprovincial and export trade,to make orders fixing, imposing and collecting levies or charges from persons situated within the Province of Quebec who are engaged in the production or marketing of turkeys and for such purpose classifying such persons into groups and fixing the levies or charges payable by the members of different groups in different amounts and the Commodity Board may use such levies or charges for its purposes, including the creation of reserves and the payment of expenses and losses resulting from the sale or disposal of turkeys and the equalization or adjustment among the producers of turkeys of moneys realized from the sale thereof during such period or periods of time as it may determine.SOR/80-90
