Federal-Provincial Fiscal Arrangements Regulations, 1999

4 For the purpose of these Regulations, Canada’s gross domestic product for a calendar year shall be determined by the Chief Statistician of Canada on the basis of Statistics Canada’s official estimate of the gross domestic product of Canada at market prices for the calendar year.
