Marginal note:Record of sale

 A seller must keep a record of each sale of propellant powder for two years after the date of the sale. The record must include the following information:

  • (a) the buyer’s name and if applicable, the number of the licence issued to them under the Firearms Act;

  • (b) in the case of a licensed buyer, the licence number and expiry date;

  • (b.1) the number and expiry date of the buyer’s fireworks operator certificate — pyrotechnician, if applicable;

  • (b.2) if applicable, the name of the public service agency, the name of the buyer buying on behalf of the public service agency and the number of the buyer’s public agency identification number assigned under the Public Agents Firearms Regulations;

  • (c) the type and product name of the powder sold, the size of the container in which it was sold and the name of the person who obtained its authorization;

  • (d) the quantity of powder sold under each product name; and

  • (e) the date of the sale.
