Order Transferring to the Department of Public Works and Government Services the Control and Supervision of Certain Portions of the Federal Public Administration

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, under paragraph 2(a)Footnote a of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties ActFootnote b, transfers

  • (a) effective April 30, 2026, from the Department of Citizenship and Immigration to the Department of Public Works and Government Services, the control and supervision of the portions of the federal public administration known as

    • (i) the Functional HR Support and Release Coordination unit, and

    • (ii) the Technical HR Development, Configuration and Platform and Administrators unit;

  • (b) effective April 30, 2026, from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development to the Department of Public Works and Government Services, the control and supervision of the portions of the federal public administration known as

    • (i) the HR Systems Unit, and

    • (ii) the Human Resources Management System (HRMS) – Development and Operations Unit;

  • (c) effective May 7, 2026, from the Correctional Service of Canada to the Department of Public Works and Government Services, the control and supervision of the portion of the federal public administration known as the Human Resources Management System (HRMS) – IT Application Services;

  • (d) effective May 21, 2026, from the Department of Employment and Social Development to the Department of Public Works and Government Services, the control and supervision of the portions of the federal public administration known as

    • (i) the Functional HR Level 2 Support and Release Coordination unit,

    • (ii) the Functional HR Project Configuration and Development unit,

    • (iii) the Technical Director’s Office,

    • (iv) the Technical HR Development and Configuration unit, and

    • (v) the Technical HR Platform and Administrators unit; and

  • (e) effective June 18, 2026, from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to the Department of Public Works and Government Services, the control and supervision of the portions of the federal public administration known as

    • (i) the HR Systems Operations – Level 2 unit, and

    • (ii) the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) unit.
