Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to paragraph 34(1)(b) of the Customs TariffFootnote a, hereby makes the annexed General Preferential Tariff Withdrawal Order (Certain Countries Acceding to the European Union).

Withdrawal of Benefits
1 The benefit of the General Preferential Tariff is hereby withdrawn in respect of all goods that originate in Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Republic of Estonia, Hungary, Republic of Latvia, Republic of Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovak Republic and the Republic of Slovenia.
Exception
2 Section 1 does not apply to goods that were in transit to Canada before May 1, 2004.
